Execs Gather For Second Internet "Summit;" FIM Shops For A HomeBy staci

: What the Financial Times describes a second News Corp. web summit called by
Chairman Rupert Murdoch is slated for this weekend in California. The core group
consists of the News Corp. Executive
Management Committee; Ross Levinsohn, president of Fox Interactive, isn't on
the committee (although he directly reports to Murdoch and president/COO Peter
Chernin) but will be there. That only makes sense given Murdoch's expansion of
FIM's role during the latest earnings call to "encompass all of our internet
development." More as warranted. Meanwhile, FIM is shopping for some room of
its own. The preference is Santa Monica but so far none of the
spaces are large enough, including the one across from Yahoo
that got some consideration. Without more acquistions, FIM would need a minimum
of 25,000 square feet and it's safe to say more buying is on the agenda. | |
